Innovations for Smallholder Supply Chains

15 May 2018 to 16 May 2018

A private-sector-led dialogue on the future of commercial smallholder-based agriculture. Smallholder farmers are responsible for growing a large share of the global food supply. New technologies and innovations are creating cost-effective solutions for improving their productivity and integrating them into global and regional supply chains.

International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, and the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets, is convening investors, private companies whose supply chains rely on smallholder farmers, organizations offering products and services, together with donors and government officials to network, share ideas and experiences.

Under the theme, Innovations for Smallholder Supply Chains, the conference will focus on practical solutions to the big challenges of building smallholder professionalism and closing yield gaps between commercial operations and smallholder farmers.
